 I was the Secretary of the Edinburgh Student Chapter for Article 25 in my third year at Edinburgh University. This student chapter works to bring design skills and the concepts of community, sustainability and empowerment to the forefront of the field of humanitarian architecture. Through design workshops, cross-disciplinary discussions, advocacy campaigns and a professionally accredited lecture series, members will become part of this growing international movement. Additionally members have the opportunity to remotely contribute to ‘live’ projects in the developing world, harnessing their own skills and drive to the betterment of the built environment in places of great need.
